Chamunda in the morning,
the valley by evening.
Yash Rock Hotel is a base for Chamunda Devi temple, up the road towards Dharamshala, and for the rest of the Devi circuit — Brajeshwari is in Kangra town below us. Rooms start at ₹999 a night, or ₹1,699 with air conditioning, there is a restaurant on site, and parking is free.
Up the road, and back down.
Chamunda sits above the Baner river on the way towards Dharamshala. It is an out-and-back from here rather than a doorstep, and Brajeshwari is the other way, in the town just below us — so the two make an easy pair from the same room.
Your bag stays where you left it.
The Devi circuit is usually done as four towns and four hotels. From here it does not have to be: Chamunda one morning, Brajeshwari the next, and Jwalamukhi and Chintpurni as out-and-backs, with the same room waiting each night.
Tell us how many days in the same message and we will work the rate across the whole stay. During Navratri, ask weeks ahead rather than days.
The short version.
What pilgrims usually ask.
Anything else, message us. Somebody here has driven that road in every month of the year.
Yes. It is up the road towards Dharamshala, above the Baner river — go up in the morning and be back in the valley for the evening.
Because it is rarely one temple. Brajeshwari is in Kangra town below us, and Jwalamukhi and Chintpurni are out-and-backs too, so the whole circuit can be done from one room rather than a different bed every night.
Very, across the whole valley. If you know your dates, send them now rather than the week before and we will hold something.
Yes. Tell us the night before what time you want to be out. Leaving before the kitchen opens is normal for people doing darshan, and nobody here will find it strange.
You can, but most people give each its own morning. Brajeshwari is in town below us and Chamunda is up the road the other way, so two short days beat one long one.
Yes. The kitchen cooks vegetarian and non-vegetarian and keeps to whichever side you are on. Tell us in advance and it is an easy yes.
How the days fall.
There is a longer piece on the circuit — which temple on which day, and where the driving gets long. The Brajeshwari page has the rest.
