Off the bus,
and up the hill.
Yash Rock Hotel is a short ride up the hill from Kangra bus stand, where the HRTC buses come into town. Autos and taxis wait at the stand, and if you message us when you get off we will tell the driver the way. Rooms start at ₹999 a night, or ₹1,699 with air conditioning, and there is a restaurant and a pool on site.
Out of town, not far out.
The stand is in the middle of Kangra, with the bazaar around it. We are up the hill from there, which is close enough that the ride is over before it starts and far enough that you are hearing the valley instead of the horns.
Send us a message from the stand.
Any auto or taxi at the stand will bring you up. The last stretch is easier explained than found, so message us when you are in one and we will tell the driver where to turn.
For routes and timings, go to HRTC’s own site close to your date. They change, and we would rather send you to the people who run the buses than guess.
The short version.
What people ask first.
Anything else, call +91 9816302659. Somebody picks up, and at the end of a long bus you want a person rather than a form.

HRTC, the state bus service, runs into Kangra, and so do private operators. Routes and timings change, so check HRTC's own booking site close to your date rather than anything written here.
Yes. Message us roughly when the bus gets in and somebody will be up. There is no front desk that closes here, because there is no front desk.
Come up anyway. Check-in is 12 noon, but the lawns, the pool and the restaurant are all here before that, so an early bus is not a morning spent waiting at the stand.
No. The pool, the restaurant and the roof are all here, so arriving by bus loses you nothing once you are up the hill.
Yes, one night is fine and nobody will ask why. ₹999 a night to start, ₹1,699 with air conditioning — send the date and we will hold something.
Once you are here.
There is a pool and a restaurant, and Brajeshwari temple is back down in town. Arriving by train instead? Kangra’s stations are covered too.
